When my mother passed away in India, I was tasked with organizing a condolence event. This experience raised a crucial question: Why is event planning so complex, much efforts and cost? Even though it was a small event, I had to manage various aspects such as selecting a venue, catering, decorators, creating a guest list, and organizing gifts and favors. Additionally, I had to coordinate with cultural and spiritual groups, ensuring the event respected our traditions. Even though elements like beauty, fashion, and jewellery were not a part of this event, I realized that Indian events are often similar in the level of detail and variety they require, in fact much more complex.

For a small event like this, I still had to create a budget, prepare checklists, send invitations, coordinate with multiple teams, and even do some shopping, which consumed a lot of my time. After the event, I realized how much guidance and resources were available in my hometown, where the elder generation and cultural insights were easily accessible. This made me think about how challenging it would be to arrange an event in a new country.

As when I will plan for my son's wedding in Australia, where I don’t have the same cultural support and resources, I will face new and much more challenges. I come from a traditional Maharashtrian background, where weddings are celebrated with specific rituals, traditional outfits, and cultural practices. While some aspects have modernized, the core elements remain the same. (This will applicable for every diverse culture in India and not only limited to Maharashtra ) In Australia, finding all the accessories, guidance, and supplies that align with these traditions, while staying within budget and minimizing time and effort, will definitely prove and very difficult. Any event is a team work with lots of guidance, time efforts and cost involved.

This experience made me realize that many families in Australia, like mine, may face similar challenges when planning weddings or cultural events. There's a gap in the market for services that can provide culturally relevant guidance and resources, making it easier for families to plan weddings that reflect their traditions—whether they are traditional or modern—while also considering different budgets, from small to big, intimate gatherings to large, grand celebrations, home celebrations to destination celebration. In Australia beaches is an additional option as well.
